Ken is an experienced master mariner with extensive seagoing experience on container, bulk carrier, general cargo and offshore support vessels. He has had command, as well as other training and managerial roles in the offshore sector, on conventional and DP1 vessels as well as working on salvage tugs.
He later worked in the salvage industry where he developed his expertise in casualty management. Ken has worked as a salvage master and managed the salvage division of a major international contractor in Singapore. During this time, he was involved with several large salvage projects where he dealt with all aspects of salvage operations from contractual matters through to mobilization and on-site operational aspects which included bunker removal and pollution control, cargo removal, refloating and towage.
Since 2016, Ken has overseen the activities of Solis Marine in Singapore and Southeast Asia. He draws on his years of experience in the region and marine knowledge to assist clients. Ken is a member on the Lloyd’s panel of SCR’s and has extensive experience with casualty management, wreck removal operations, incident investigation and causation following both navigation and cargo incidents.
