Paul Hill is the Chief Surveyor of AqualisBaremar LOC Group, based in London and sits on the Ocean Hull Committee and the Joint Hull Committee as technical advisor.
During his 12 years in this role he has carried out a large number of hull & machinery casualty investigations, marine warranty surveys as well as provided consultancy for P&I Clubs and acted as expert witness in arbitration and law courts.
Before taking his current position Paul worked as a ship repair manager at a leading UK dry-dock facility and prior to that served as a marine engineer in the merchant navy.
During his 20 years at sea he rose to the rank of chief engineer and served on a variety of vessels including tankers, reefers, containers, cruise ships and ferries.
